  1. What is the difference between Professional teacher and Teacher?

    Professional teacher is a teacher who has acquired a Korean language teaching certificate or has a Korean language education experience for 3 years or more.

    The Korean Teacher Certificate is a certificate that only the teacher selected after the rigorous examination and interview of the Korean government can receive it.

    However, the Teacher who is not a professional teacher is also an excellent teacher who was selected after the interview process of EL Korean. If you want more comfortable and diverse classes, it is better to choose a Teacher. If you want more systematic lessons, you need to choose Professional teacher. However, in order to choose a teacher that suits you well, you should also look at the introduction of the teacher and decide on the trial class as well.

  2. How long is the class?

    Each class has 20-minute length. Depends on the topic, it is packaged with 3-session, 5-session, 10-session, 20-session and 30-session. After selecting teacher, take the one best-suits. The trial class lasts 20 minutes, 1-session.
  3. What are two or three students learning together?

    It is the way you learn with your friends and family to study Korean with you. These friends and family must be collected by you.

    You can learn Korean more happily with friends and family with this way. Additional tuition discounts allow you to pay a smaller tuition fee than one-on-one tuition.

    Tuition is paid by you on behalf of your friends or family to study with you. The larger the number of students, the less the tuition fee. If you learn together, you can learn Korean more happily through role play.

    When you are in class, several people can gather together in one room. You can also study using video chat software separately in each room.

  4. Do I have to apply for all the class schedules at the same time when doing booking request to the teacher? For example, if I apply 10-time class, do I have to apply to all 10 times for the time scheduling?

    No, you do not need to apply for all class schedules. When applying for the first time, you can apply for the number of classes you want like only one or two. Then, when you talk to the teacher about the time of the remaining class that you didn't apply, the teacher will schedule the times of the remaining classes with you. However you have to apply at least the first class time. This is a convenience feature for you.

    'My time zone' which appears at class booking can be set first at the registration. Any changes after the registration can be made from 'Edit my profile' at 'My page'.
  6. What if there is no reply from your selected teacher?

    This happens because of time differences and teacher not always being online. To minimize the responseless period, class offer can be delivered up to three different teachers. Whoever accepts first gets the call; the others will be cancelled. If there is no response from all three within 24 hours, automatic cancellation takes place on all thee offers. The notification message of “Time elapsed. Your class offer has been cancelled. Please find another teacher,” will show up. At this stage, the class offer must be directed to another available teacher. Your request on cancellation of class can be made before 24 hours.
  7. How do I change my scheduled class due to an urgent matter?

  13. Is there a restriction to the duration of classes when applying for classes?

    Yes. There is a restriction on the duration of classes.

    All classes must be completed within the same number of weeks as the number of sessions of the class.

    Please complete all classes within the period, as all classes that have not been completed within the period are considered complete.

    3-session class -> within 3 weeks

    5-session class  -> within 5 weeks

    10-session class  -> within 10 weeks

    20-session class  -> within 20 weeks

    30-session class  -> within 30 weeks

    You can extend the period after consulting with your teacher.

  14. How does video class work?

    Video class will be conducted by using chatting software. Our suggestion is Skype; it is free and able to enhance the efficiency by face-to-face style. Its shared screen will allow both teacher and student while co-working on textbooks and other study materials. However, by the mutual agreement, another type of software can be used. If you are an existing Skype user, please go for it. If you are not; then download it from our website or mobile app store. Unlike the in-the-class teaching, the net speed is the x-factor to the quality of the online class. Make sure to have stable line and get headset or earphone ready to block possible noise. Simply by watching video from Youtube can simply diagnosis the status of your net connection.
  15. What happens if the screen freezes or voice is not playing well?

    Most of these problems are caused by slow speed. Voice call requires a data rate of approximately 10 kbps, and images does approximately 500 kbps. Although most network support this rate, make sure to have stable speed. It is instructive to stop other online works during our class. If class must be conducted under previous-mentioned circumstances, it can proceed by voice-only style without screen display; however, not recommended. Set the stable speed and take the class when ready.
