홍범도 장군 (1868~1943)
General Hong Beom-Do
조선 말기의 의병장이며, 일제 강점기의 독립운동가, 군인입니다. 1910년 한일 병합 조약 이후에는 만주에서 독립군을 이끌었습니다. 1919년 대한 독립군 사령관이 되어 국내로 들어와서 일본군을 습격하였습니다. 대한독립군단을 조직하여 김좌진과 함께 부총재가 되었습니다.1920년 일본군이 봉오동을 공격해 오자, 3일간의 봉오동 전투에서 많은 수의 일본군을 무찌르고 최대의 전과를 올렸습니다.
He was the commander of the resistance army in the late Joseon Dynasty, an independence activist and soldier during the Japanese occupation. He led the independence army in Manchuria after the Treaty of Japan-Korea annexation in 1910. In 1919, he became the commander of the Korean Independence Army and entered the country and attacked the Japanese Imperial Army. He formed the Korean Independence Corps and became vice-president along with General Kim Jwa-jin. In 1920, when Japanese troops attacked Bongo-dong, in the three-day battle of Bong-o-dong, his unit defeated a large number of Japanese troops and achieved the greatest battle results.
