성탄절을 이틀 앞둔 23일 오후 포항시 남구 연일읍에 있는 대한불교 조계종 문수사 대웅전 앞에 만들어진 크리스마스트리에서 한 불교 신도가 기도하고 있다. 문수사 주지 덕화 스님은 “아기 예수의 탄생을 축하하고 화합과 상생, 평화를 기원하는 의미에서 트리를 만들었다”고 전했다.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, two days before Christmas, a Buddhist devotee is praying at a Christmas tree built in front of the Daeungjeon Hall of Munsusa Temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism in Yeonil-eup, Nam-gu, Pohang-si. “We made the tree to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus and pray for harmony, coexistence and peace,” said Monk Deokhwa, the governor of Munsusa Temple.
