예날 우리나라에서 아이들이 머리를 양쪽으로 갈라 뿔 모양으로 동여맨것을 '총각'이라 했고

In the old days in Korea, children who split their heads in two and tied them in the shape of horns were called Chong kag 

이런 머리를 한 사람을 '총각'이라 불렀다고 한다.

It is said that a person with such hair was called a Chong kag 

총각과 비슷한 모양의 무로 만든 김치라서 '총각김치'라고 부른다.
