본문

1. Korean nouns do not change the case. In general, ‘이/가’, ‘을/를’, and so on are used in Korean to indicate the function of a noun such as a subject or object in a sentence. For example, English is I, me, my, but Korean is ‘나+는, 나+를, 나+의’.

2. Korean nouns do not distinguish between male and female. For example, in Spanish it is 'maestro, maestra', but in Korean it is all '선생님'.

3. The distinction between singular and plural is not strict.
In addition, there is no change for the gender, number of the noun. So there is no change of the verb and adjective for the gender and the number.

4. There are developed nouns that represent units for counting people or objects. For example: Two people (사람 두 명) / three teachers (선생님 세 분) / four pairs of shoes (신발 네 켤레) / two calves (송아지 두 마리) / five houses (집 다섯 채) / three cars (자동차 세 대)
